Pub Crawl To Support The 2014 Plunge

EVENT SOLD OUT!!! THANK YOU PARTICIPATING PUBS AND CRAWLERS The goal of the Polar Plunge is to give as much money as possible back to the schools. The Polar Plunge incurs expenses for things like insurance, police, and first aid/rescue squads.  Every December we run a Pub Crawl Event to help raise funds to offset some of these costs.

This year's Pub Crawl will be held on Saturday, December 7th, 2013.  Buses leave from the Bayshore Catholic Center (12 Hwy 36, Middletown, NJ) at 1PM.  The event runs until late evening (around 7PM).  Bus pickups will be made at schools that have enough participation to fill an entire bus.  Check with your participating school.  The pub list is still in the works, however this year's route will follow a more southerly route around the areas of Rumson, Sea Bright, Asbury Park and Neptune.

The cost of the event is $35 which includes the bus ride and an event shirt.  If you do not want the shirt, the cost of the bus ride only is $30.  Shirt sizes 3x, 4x, & 5x are $3 extra.  You must put your shirt size on the sign up sheet and you will get this exact size.  The event does not order any extras for exchanges if the shirt does not fit.  If in doubt, order a larger size.

Registration for the event is due by November 15th with payment made by November 30th.  These deadlines are important as shirts need to be ordered and buses need to be booked.

Contact and Payment info are listed on the sign up sheet.

The Pier Village complex hosts a variety of shops and restaurants which will be open on the day of our event. The boardwalk overlooks the beach and provides a great vantage point for the spectators to view the Plunge. McLoone's will offer a variety of grab and go food items as well as their menu items. There will be music provided at McLoones in the morning and afternoon. The AOH Polar Plunge for Catholic Education is unique event in that the schools retain 100% of the money the collect. The AOH raises the money for Police, First Aid, Life Guards, Insurance, Music and all of the expenses of the day. This presents the schools with the opportunity to participate without the organizational activities and expenses of the event. They can focus on the fund-raising for their schools. Schools have used the money for scholarships, financial aid, projects, team equipment, team trips, infrastructure, and elimination of fees.
